Charging Your Zumio

Operating Your Zumio

Zumio will get warm to the touch when charging.  This is normal, the housing gets to approximately 40Celcius (100Fahrenheit) when charging.  This is warm for human touch but safe and its actually cool for electronics and plastics which are happy running at much higher temperatures.  The product has been extensively tested by third-party labs in many conditions to ensure it will never get too warm and will be very safe to use.   The charging method relies on 50 year old and safe NiMH battery technology.

Your Zumio is in lockout mode.  Hold the power button down for at least 5 seconds until the unit pulses 3 times.  This takes it out of lockout mode.

Try the Zumio again, it should now be working fine.

Yes.

Zumio can be locked to protect against accidental activation by pressing and holding the on/off button for 5 seconds. This will activate lock-out mode if product. The product vibrates 3 pulses and ramps down to off to let you know it is in ‘lock-out’ mode. Zumio will not turn on in this mode.

To unlock, simply press and hold the on/off button for 5 seconds. Zumio vibrates 3 pulses then turns off to let you know its back in normal use mode. You can then let go and press the on/off button to use the product.

Dedicated, step-up, step-down buttons.

Each click of the speed buttons graduate the setting one level in either direction. Zumio defaults to the lowest speed when turned on and returns to this default setting once the device is turned off.

Dedicated, on/off button

Unlike other products that have difficult to locate or time delayed on/off controls, Zumio has a dedicated, instant on/off button. Simply press and release to turn on, press and release to turn off.

No

Zumio does not provide various patterns (e.g. wave, pulse, cha-cha) as user testing showed that these dampen the effectiveness of the unique revolving movement and were proven a distraction from delivering the Zumio experience. Modes also presume that large groups of women will respond identically to fixed, programmed patterns of sensation.

Using a combination of Placement, Pressure, and Speed

Intensity can be controlled by utilizing various combinations of pressure, speed, use of tip/stylus, and physical proximity to the clitoris. The “right” intensity for you will be a blend of:

  • Personal sensitivity
  • Where on your genitalia you apply Zumio
  • How you use the Zumio tip or stylus
  • How much pressure you apply
  • Speed setting

We recommend that you ease into using Zumio. Start with the lowest speed setting, pressing slightly harder to slow down the tip and reduce intensity, and apply in surrounding areas first before focusing on the clitoris itself. Like anything new, practice makes perfect!

1 Year

Zumio has a one-year Limited Warranty that covers any defects in material or workmanship under normal use.

If you are having a problem with the product we are very sorry to hear this and we would like you to follow a 3 step process.

Step 1.
Review the myzumio.com FAQ page. The most common problem is a user has accidentally put Zumio into lockout mode. Just hold the ON/OFF button down for 10 seconds until it pulses then let go of the ON/OFF button. It should pulse three times then turn off. When you press the ON button again the product should turn on normally.

If this does not solve the problem then recharge the unit overnight and repeat this process. If Zumio still does not turn on and run properly then go to step 2.

Step 2.
Return the product to the place where you purchased it, for a replacement, preferably in the original packaging. You will follow the warranty replacement policy for the place where you purchased.

Step 3.
If you have completed steps 1 and 2 and are not satisfied then you are welcome to contact us as the original manufacturer at customers@myzumio.com and explain your situation. Please provide the place of purchase name and address and a copy of the bill with the place of purchase clearly shown on the bill and the contact name of the person at the place of purchase you were not able to get satisfaction from.

Take a picture of the product and the serial number on the back of the Zumio halfway up the body of the unit. It is a 6-digit code. Send all this information in the email to us. We will work hard to find a solution on your behalf.

Yes, water based only

Zumio should only be used with water-based lubricants and should not be used with silicon-based lubricants. Zumio can be used comfortably without lubrication as well. You may prefer to use a small amount of water based lubrication to help reduce the intensity in the first few seconds as the tip and skin connect. If you prefer not to use lubricants, simply apply a small amount of natural wetness from the mouth or vagina to the Zumio tip and repeat as necessary.

Yes

Your Zumio device should be cleaned after each use with water and mild antibacterial soap and non-abrasive cloth.

Yes

Zumio is waterproof and can withstand being in 1 meters (3 feet) of water for a brief period of time.

2.0 mm

At full intensity, the SpiroTIP amplitude is a full 2.0 mm (0.080 inches) 3-dimensional revolving movement. This amplitude has been proven in testing with users as optimal for delivering the maximum pleasure experience.

Eight (8)

Each press of the up/down button will increase/decrease the speed one step, 8 steps from the lowest to highest level. The lowest speed setting is the default when turning on the device. The highest level more than doubles the lowest setting.

Designed and engineered in Canada and the USA and assembled in China.

The engineering and design team behind the Zumio are the same talented individuals behind the development of several of the world’s best-selling adult vibrators.

A. No

Vibrators actually generate much more energy than Zumio. Vibration is energy generated in pulses (frequency) and can be felt a long way away from where the touch is applied, especially if it is near bone. Vibrators shake everything that touches them including the clitoral region, hand and arm and even the entire body. Your body is full of nerve endings. All of them pick up these energy pulses in some form and can be overwhelming signals to your brain. It’s like a sledge hammer to drive a tack! By comparison, Zumio delivers very high energy density at the small contact area TIP and the ability to use pressure to dynamically change speed and intensity makes the energy delivered to the clitoral nerve more selective so the brain gets very local nerve stimulation messages. Initially, this may make the Zumio feel more intense than a vibrator, but it is simply a more isolated nerve response. Zumio is like an “artist’s brush” and a vibrator is like a paint roller. Zumio is highly responsive to the users’ specific needs.

A. SpiroTIP™ Technology

During manual masturbation, women will instinctively and randomly change finger pressure, slow down, speed up and move their finger location as they need to increase arousal. It’s very “play by ear”. Zumio has a unique tip, stylus and patented motor clutch drive system, that enables the same natural motion and allows users to dynamically go from high speed and intensity down to a low speed and intensity, without having to touch a control. By comparison, other than some slight variation, vibrators continue to operate at high speed (6,000 – 8,000 RPM) and modes like cha-cha, wave, pulse, etc., presume that all women will respond to a fixed pattern of stimulation. It’s simply not possible to program the stimulation experience as it will be unique for every woman, every time!

Zumio can be inserted back into the charging unit between uses to ensure it is always fully charged with no negative effect to the product or battery life. It can also simply be stored on the charger as a full charge typically allows for multiple sessions before charging is required again.

It is healthy for the battery to run Zumio without recharging once a year until it will not turn on anymore, then recharge Zumio fully overnight.

Up to 4 hours

The speed setting has a minimal effect on the battery life. How hard you press the tip during use will affect the motor power required and will vary usage time between recharging from 75 minutes to 4 hours of fun.

Yes.

Zumio is rechargeable by simply inserting it into the stand-up charging base provided. The charging base is powered via a standard USB to micro-USB cable that is provided. A standard micro-USB wall adaptor available in most households or a computer with a USB port can be used to charge the unit. Aesthetically, the Zumio unit is designed to fit the charging station in one direction however the device will charge equally well placed in either direction.

When the product is inserted into the charger, the charging base has a blinking LED. Zumio can be removed and used at any time during the charging cycle. No need to wait!

Zumio uses a “freedom charging technology” that doesn’t tie you down to specific charge cycles. Simply charge it for as long as you would like. Typically overnight is a good length of charging time to give you plenty of use before needing a recharge. The flashing LED on the charger indicates everything is working fine. After a very long period in the charger, the LED will stop flashing.

Once the LED stops flashing there is no more value to have the unit in the charger. Users tell us recharging once every 6 months has been their experience. This battery and SpiroTIPTM motion technology is very
energy conscious allowing for a long time before needing a recharge.
